On Saturday, September 12, 2026, we will welcome families, music lovers, entrepreneurs, and community supporters to Oyster Factory Park, Bluffton, South Carolina, from 2-8 PM. This six-hour celebration is designed to create connection while supporting the people and small businesses that make our region distinctive.

Roots & Rivers is a Bluffton community festival with a clear purpose: to celebrate where we come from, invest in where we are, and help build where we are going.

The Lowcountry carries a rich cultural legacy shaped by Black history, creativity, resilience, and community care. Roots & Rivers honors that legacy by creating a public space where culture is not placed in the background: it is centered, celebrated, and carried forward.

Our festival brings together traditions and contemporary expression through music, food, art, and entrepreneurship. The sounds of Motown, R&B, and Blues connect generations, creating a shared experience for longtime residents, new neighbors, and visitors to Bluffton. At the heart of Roots & Rivers is an artisan marketplace featuring 20+ Black-owned businesses. These entrepreneurs represent the imagination, skill, and determination that power our local economy. Attendees will have the opportunity to discover handmade goods, cultural products, specialty items, food, art, and other offerings created by local business owners.

This is not just a collection of vendor booths, but a pivotal platform for visibility and growth.
